S: Is for STUPIDITY!

A B-52 bomber flying from South Dakota to an Air Force base in Louisiana is a pretty routine occurrence. Except on August 30 somebody forgot to take the nuclear warheads out of the plane’s cruise missiles. Oops. Needless to say it has prompted an Air Force investigation and the firing of one commander. The six nuclear warheads were mounted onto pylons on the B-52 bomber's wings and nobody is sure why. They're not even passing the blame because they are so clueless. The mistake is so serious that President Bush and Defense Secretary Robert Gates were quickly informed. As if either one is smart enough to actually figure out the situation so it never happens again. Gates assured stating "the munitions were part of a routine transfer between the two bases and at all times they were in the custody and control of Air Force personnel and at no time was the public in danger."Excuse me, have you seen the pictures Mr. Gates of nuclear bombs going off? I tend to think not if you can make such an insane statement. What in the world are nuclear weapons doing out in the open instead of locked up under the strictest of security? Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't we go into Iraq for this very same reason, Mr. Bush? We live in scary times when outright stupidity can kill us and that is a F.A.C.T.
