Here ye here ye, Andrew Goffman’s shocking, honest and hilarious tour-de-force-\ “THE ACCIDENTAL PERVERT" will open Off-Broadway at The Players Theatre (115 MacDougal Street – btwn: West 3rd Street & Minetta Lane) on Saturday, January 23rd. Preview performances will begin Friday, December 4th and continue through Friday, January 22nd. This one-man-theatrical-circus-of-full-disclosure, offers the evening’s warning bell in the form of an alarmingly candid disclosure: “Ya know, none of us starts out to be a pervert.” The evening picks up speed from there. “THE ACCIDENTAL PERVERT” is the true accounting of one boy’s odyssey to manhood via a childhood dominated by pornography, an addiction accumulated after the boy happens upon his father’s collection of XXX-Rated video tapes in a bedroom closet, just to the right of his golf clubs, above the cowboy boots, behind the sweatshirts, all the way up in the top left hand corner. Andrew Goffman takes his audience on a hilarious and self-deprecating journey into a world of video vixens, X-Rated fantasies, and really DIRTY movies with no redeeming value whatsoever. He found the tapes at 11 years-of-age. The addiction controlled him until he was 26, the year he met his wife. Andrew Goffman has performed comedy on the road in concert for the past 12 years opening in over 150 theatres, emporiums and clubs appearing before, at last count, well over 50,000 people. He appeared in film “The First Wives Club” and “The Stand In” and Off-Broadway in “Grandma Sylvia’s Funeral. “THE ACCIDENTAL PERVERT” plays Fridays and Saturdays @ 8pm and tickets are a mere $30.

F: Is for The Fantastick's

Attention all theatre lovers, celebrating its 50th anniversary, the Fantasticks creator Tom Jones will make a special appearance at Night of 1,000 Luisas, a benefit concert to be held at the Snapple Theater Center's Jerry Orbach Theater Nov. 4 at 7pm. Luisa, of course, is the ingenue in The Fantasticks who wants “Much More.”Jones, penned the book and lyrics to the longest running Off-Broadway musical with his collaborator Harvey Schmidt. The event that will feature past and present "Luisas." On hand performing will be original Fantasticks leading lady Rita Gardner (Pal Joey, The Wedding Singer), Alice Cannon (Company), Glory Crampton (Phantom), Karen Culliver (The Mystery of Edwin Drood, The Phantom of the Opera), Carole Demas (Grease), Jean Louisa Kelly ("The Fantasticks" film), Betsy Morgan (The Little Mermaid, 2009 A Little Night Music), Marty Morris (A Little Night Music), Allison Munn ("That '70s Show"), Sarah Rice (Sweeney Todd) and Sara Schmidt (Jersey Boys, Brooklyn The Musical).
